Mutual of Enumclaw launches new LeakBot water detection pilot program to help homeowners identify leaks before major damage occurs

Available to select Mutual of Enumclaw members with homeowner’s insurance coverage in Washington State, the LeakBot water detection device monitors a home’s water plumbing system 24 hours-a-day, sending alerts that deftly guide users through next steps when leaks are detected.

The new LeakBot service allows Mutual of Enumclaw to continue providing needed coverage at an affordable cost while also helping to protect the planet’s resources.

Compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems, LeakBot works by accurately measuring air and pipe temperatures in a home. Because leaks continually draw colder water from outside—creating a prolonged, consistent drop in temperature—LeakBot alerts homeowners when sensing a problem, whether they are at home, at work or even on vacation. 

Members who choose to participate in the voluntary pilot program need only follow a few simple steps to easily-install the device and mobile application with no tools or plumbing know-how. In return they receive complimentary risk mitigation services that include 24/7 monitoring and on-site repair service from LeakBot’s highly-skilled, experienced plumbers the event that a leak is detected.

The majority of claims are small, hidden leaks that cause damage over a period of time. As part of the program, Mutual of Enumclaw not only covers the cost of the device and water usage monitoring, but also the mobile application and any visits from LeakBot plumbers needed to fix leaks including parts and labor required to make a property leak-free.
