In fact, Mutual of Enumclaw was also the only insurance company to place in the competition. Although the company has offices throughout Washington, Oregon, Utah and Idaho, this is a particularly important honor because its home office is based outside of Seattle.
Mutual of Enumclaw employs nearly 450 employees throughout Washington-- 365 people at the Enumclaw Home Office and 82 in field claims offices around the state. Eric Nelson, President and CEO said, “I feel very proud that our employees think this is a great place to work. Their commitment to creating a great experience for our customers makes this a special place. I believe that companies that are great to work for are also great to do business with.” Nelson is especially focused on efforts that provide superior customer service. “We believe that everything we do should demonstrate our company’s commitment to our customers, agents, and employees,” he said. Rena Bilodeau, Vice President of Human Resources believes the same, adding, “I am especially proud that our employees think this is a great place to work. Dedicated employees drive customer satisfaction.”
The dedication to employees can be seen through a comprehensive benefits package intended to assist employees in balancing work and life. Those benefits include a 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, a Dependent Scholarship Program, competitive medical/dental insurance and flexible work schedules. Shawn Christiansen, a lifelong Enumclaw resident and an employee of the company is also proud of her workplace. She explained this has been like Christmas. “I couldn’t wait to share it with everyone because every person in our company put us here. We all work for MOE…and the people are definitely what make this place great.”
Eric Nelson welcomes conversations with media members. He is excited to talk about how Mutual of Enumclaw’s commitment to stay on this list every year benefits its customers.
